Can this get my Steam account banned?
Boosting idles a game exactly as leaving it open on your own PC does, and Steam records the time the same way. VAC bans come from tampering with a protected match, which has nothing to do with idling a game. No account here has ever been banned for boosting.
Do you keep my Steam password?
No. Signing in gives us a session token from Steam, and that token is what runs your boost. That token is all we hold. If you sign in with the QR code, the password never reaches us at all. You can end the session yourself at any time from Steam, under Account details, and our access is gone immediately.
Can I play games while boosting?
Yes, being logged in elsewhere does not stop boosting. Boosting only pauses if you actively launch a game on the same account.
Do the hours count as real playtime?
Yes. Steam records them the same way it records hours you play yourself. They show on your profile, in your library and on your reviews, and they are not marked or separated in any way.
Do I need to keep my computer on?
No. Boosting runs 24/7 on our servers, even when your PC is turned off.
Why has nothing dropped yet?
Trading cards need a few hours on a game before Steam releases the first one, so a game you just bought earns nothing for a while even when everything is working. Achievements do not wait and unlock within about a minute.
